Good news to report – at yesterday’s planning committee the planning application for the new block was unanimously rejected on the grounds of poor design and excessive density.

What the developer will do next we don’t know,  it’s too early to speculate but in all probability he will appeal against the decision.

What we must do is to keep on working on our plan for an Arts and Community Centre on Hither Green Lane.
Yesterday after the meeting we discussed the next steps to take and some very exciting proposals were put forward.
As ever, we need your help to make them happen.

In the next few days we’ll have a meeting to expand on those proposals and divide the work to do among those that will come down to help.
