First Film of New 2011/12 Season – High Anxiety
To start our new season we have Mel Brooks’ zany 1977 ’homage’ to Alfred Hitchcock ‘High Anxiety’ (Cert. 15).
Dr. Richard Thorndyke arrives as new administrator of the Psychoneurotic Institute for the Very, VERY Nervous even though he himself suffers from ‘High Anxiety’. Nothing is quite as it seems and soon he is embroiled in a murder mystery where he is the one and only suspect. Can he get to the bottom of it before he goes totally insane?!?!
With a bar serving beer, wine and soft drinks and tea & cakes supplied by The Golden Afternoon Tea Company the doors will open at 7.00pm with the film starting at 7.30pm so you will have loads of time to get a drink, a cake and settle down before the film starts.
We have kept the price low at £3, so we look forward to seeing you at St Swithun’s Hall in St Swithun’s Road just off of Hither Green Lane next Sunday, 4th September. Tickets can be bought in advance at the Cooper Locke Gallery on Hither Green Lane or You Don’t Bring Me Flowers in Staplehurst Road, or at the door on the day.
We look forward to seeing you in the dark!
