Some Like It Hot – Sunday 2nd October

 

Marilyn Monroe, Tony Curtis and Jack Lemmon star in this screwball comedy classic.  On the run from the mob, Joe & Jerry find that the only job that pays is in an all women’s jazz band which means becoming Josephine & Daphne and dealing with all the consequences that entails!!

Doors open at 7pm and tea & cakes, beer & wine and savoury snacks will be available.  Entry cost is still a mere £3.00.

Lewisham Literary Festival 2011

So here we are at the start of the first Lewisham Literary Festival centred in the heart of Lewisham in Hither Green!!!  There is such an array of authors and events there is something for everyone from children to adults and alot of the events are free with a few ticketed for only £4.00. Go over to the Lewisham Literary Festival website for all the details of where and when as this amazing event covers 8 days (9th – 16th September), 6 venues (St Swithun’s Hall, Cafe of Good Hope, Lewisham Library, Manor House Library, Torridon Road Library & The Ravensbourne Arms) all making one special event on the Literary calendar.
