Valentines Double Bill – Stricly Ballroom & Amelie: Sunday 5th February

 

Hither Green Cinema presents 2 films to play with your heart strings, be you single or with the love of your life:

Strictly Ballroom (PG)  – Baz Luhrmann writes and directs this Australian Cinderella story about a young girl desperate to dance and a maverick dancer wanting to break out of the old routine and do something new!!  The film that started, years later, the phenomenon that is ‘Strictly Come Dancing’.  Come see the original and the best!! (Australian – No subtitles)

Amelie (15) – The story of a girl sheltered in her youth by her father afraid the world will be too much for her fragile heart grows up to be a young woman with an overly active imagination who creates fantasy worlds on the streets of Paris but finds that her heart has so much to give but will she find love in the real world?? (French – Subtitles)

The bar will be open with a selection of wines and beers from the Meantime Brewery, warm savoury snacks made on site with tea, coffee, hot chocolate and homemade cakes.

Tickets are £5 for the whole night (So get your moneys worth and come and see both films and we will keep you going with food and drink from the kitchen) and will be available from Cafe of Good Hope on Hither Green Lane and You Don’t Bring Me Flowers on Staplehurst Road as well as on the door which opens at 6.00pm.
